No More Excuses

I recently attended my second meeting of the local Studio Art Quilt Associates, carrying a stack of sun-printed fabric for show-and-tell. “I still haven’t made a quilt,” I said.  One of my new friends responded with something like, “You can’t say that again at the next meeting.”  It has been my intent to quilt (or else why did I join?) and her statement made me pull out my rotary cutter and begin.  Now I am a quilter!

These little quilts and their accompanying thrifted toys will be part of the Teddy Bears & Quilts service project of the Anchorage Log Cabin Quilters Guild.DSCN0288

I didn’t worry about making mistakes or not doing things “right.” I’m going to pick up more little animals at the thrift shop so that I have a reason to learn more techniques such as making different quilting patterns.
